Sille Pihlak (1985) is an architect, co-founder of PART (Practice for Architecture, Research and Theory). She was one half of the curatorial team behind TAB 2015 main exhibition “Body Building” and TAB 2017 Installation Competition. She has an M.Arch. with distinction from University of Applied Arts Vienna, Studio Hani Rashid and Wolf D. Prix, and has gained experience at the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a number of architecture and design offices such as Morphosis (Los Angeles) and CoopHimmelb(l)au (Vienna). She has also participated in various exhibitions (Experimental Architecture Biennial in Prague and exhibition “Extremes” in Ljubljana) and her works are included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Estonian Architecture. She is probing the interdisciplinary backgrounds of architecture cooperating with the leading names of adjoining fields (fashion designer Liisi Eesmaa, artist Kiwa, product designer Mihkel Masso etc).
At present, she is the architecture associate editor of the monthly Müürileht, co-curator of the Open Lecture Series and lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts. She is a member of the Union of Estonian Architects.
Siim Tuksam (1986) is an architect, co-founder of PART – Practice for Architecture, Research and Theory. He has an M.Arch. with distinction from University of Applied Arts Vienna, Studio Greg Lynn, and has gained experience at the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a number of architecture and design offices (e.g Coop Himmelb(l)au, Cmmnwlth, Gehry Technologies). He studies the opportunities, tendencies and impact of computational technology and materials’ research in architecture; has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions (e.g Experimental Architecture Biennial in Prague, AIA 2×4 TAUT in Los Angeles); co-curator of Interspace, the Estonian exhibition at the 14th La Biennale di Venezia International Architecture Exhibition; co-curator of TAB 2015 main exhibition “Body Building”. He is a member of the Union of Estonian Architects. Currently: PhD candidate, junior researcher, lecturer and co-curator of the Open Lecture Series at the Estonian Academy of Arts Faculty of Architecture and co-curator of the Tallinn Architecture Biennale Installation Programme.
